Zombie Blitz 1940 Questions And Answers

Here’s some questions we have been asked made up.

Do I get to do battle?

This isn’t a zombie battle experience. This is like moving about in the haunting set of a film, as if you are part of the cast. Your object is to move through the underground tunnels and find your way to daylight, before the zombies find you.

If you are looking for something more avenging, check out these other wicked zombie experiences.

What is an ‘immersive’ experience?

Immersive theatre gives the audience the chance to move about and follow performers throughout the production set, and even to become part of the story – taking on specific tasks or assuming a certain character. It’s a contemporary form of theatrical experience that’s taking off in a big way, and this thrilling zombie experience takes the idea one step further. So if you fancy something that even the hipsters haven’t done yet, this is definitely it.

What if I get scared?

That’s all part of the experience. We would say that if you tend to watch Harry Potter from behind the sofa, it’s probably not for you. However if you like the odd horror film and you’re up for a bit of a scare, this will be right up your alley. Like any experience there’s always a back-up plan so if you really can’t handle all those creepy shadows and guttural growls, someone will be on hand to haul you out and back up to daylight. Just make sure you man up in time for the next zombie apocalypse (it’s coming, by the way). Whether you ‘survive’ or not, be warned – tube travel will never be the same again.

Can I dress up?

Most definitely. We’re not talking about putting a sheet with eye-holes over your head – ideally, you’ll opt for 1940s dress or wartime khakis to get you into the spirit. Greasy comb-overs and dodgy perms are optional.

Why haven’t I heard of this experience before?

It’s brand new and pretty cutting-edge. This experience is unique even by zombie standards, and the star of the show is YOU – so it’s about as far from your average blast-around-a-track sports car experience as you can get. The idea of immersive theatre is pretty alternative, so anyone who takes on this awesome experience will become part of an elite group of wartime zombie-hunters. How’s that for bragging rights?

I need to book this right now. How do I do that?

First off, head over to Wish.co.uk where you can book a place or two (for three or more fill in this form instead) on the Zombie Blitz 1940 experience day pronto. It’s quick, easy, safe and secure. Then, once you’ve got your voucher you need to book a place on an experience day. This is when you can choose the date and time that best suits you. Lastly, circle the date chosen on your calender (ideally in blood red ink) and start perfecting your zombie-hunting skills.

Who are Wish.co.uk?

You are kidding, right? If you know anything about zombie experience days then you’ll know that Wish.co.uk are the leaders. They are fanatical about zombies and the apocalypse. Any zombie experience day worth its weight in salt will be offered by Wish.co.uk. If it’s not up to scratch, they don’t sell it. Seriously.

@Kayley – Good question. You’d need to be good at that undead thing and look worse for ware all day long. If you’d like to learn what it takes to be a zombie then why not go to zombie school? Enrol here.

@Holly – We’re not taking on any zombies right now (even though we resemble them on a Monday morning!). You might want to check out Zombie School which would give you an idea as to what goes into becoming a zombie.

Hi, my mum has booked to take part this Saturday but unfortunately it is now impossible for her to come. She was wondering if there is any possibility to change the date. It would be greatly appreciated in circumstances that are out of her control. Thanks very much.
